POPULATION GROWTH IN TANZANIA


POPULATION refers to the number of people living in a certain geographical area.


POPULATION GROWTH refers to the increase number of people living in a certain geographical location.


Tanzania is the one among the countries that is in Africa that got her independence in 1961 from British under first President Mwl. Julius Kambarage Nyerere.Tanzania made of several region like capital city Dodoma, Pwani, Dar es salam, Tanga, Mbeya, Tabora and so many  It found in East Africa, Tanzania has a lot of natural resources like Rivers such as Rufiji river, gas in Mtwara, Minerals in Milelani Arusha etc. Also it has many tourist attractions such as Mountain Kilimanjaro, Animals include big five buffalo, Elephant, Lion, Rhino and Leopard that found in Game reserve like Sealous and other National Parks such as Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Mikumi in Morogoro and so on. A part from those also Tanzania has many Tribes like Masai, Zaramo, Chagga, Hehe, Makonde, Nyamwezi and so on that  made Tanzania to have large number of the people that approximately about 60 Million People. The growth number of people in the developing countries like Tanzania contributed by various reasons as follow below:-


1.Improvement of social services. The growth of health sevirce, availability of water, housing and other social services contribute at certain extent to the growth of Tanzania population since people are well treated when their suffer with diseases such as Malaria that could led the to die.


2. Economic stability; However the ecomic situatiton of Tanzania now looking to be stable at certain extent where by people are able to get basic needs such as food, shelter and clothes. Thus is become easily for them to take care of new born that is why there is population growth in Tanzani.


3. Religion factor. Also some religion in Tanzania encouraged population growth since they discouraged the use of birth control measures such as use of condom is opposed by religion like Muslim. Therefore religious issues promoted population increase in Tanzania.


4.Migration. Migration is the movement of people from one place to another. Likewise migration of people from their home countries enabled population increase in Tanzania since people move from their home nation to Tanzania for settlement. For example recent year witnessed that people move from Rwanda and Burundi to Tanzania due to the political instability in their home countries. Therefore migration led increase of people in Tanzania.

ADVANTAGE OF POPULATION GROWTH IN TANZANIA.


The population growth in Tanzania has a lot of advantages or importance as follow 
below:-

Market. The growth number of people in Tanzania has become as source of market for the produced industrial goods such as food, clothes and so on.


Labour. Also increase number of people in Tanzania increase source of man power in different work area such as industrial sector, agricultural sector.


Use of Marginal land. These land that is not useful for agrictural production can be used by these increased people for settlement and establishment of different economic activities such as industry since there is man power to work in those industries.


DISADVANTAGES OF POPULATION GROWTH IN TANZANIA


1. Inadequate of social services such as education, water, housing and health services since those services will not be enough due to the large number of the people

2. Destruction of environment. This is due to that people will involving in clearing forest for establishing settlement and preparation of farms for production so as to get food.

3. Eruption and spread of disease such as Malaria, Cholera due to the concentration of large number of people in certain area that lead to the increase of dirty in such areas.

Of course growth number of people in any area is very potential due to have many advantages in the country since it contribube economic growth.
