The Minister of Energy bans electricity allocation

Tanzania: The Government has planned and will ensure that the Katavi Residents begin to use the Grid National electricity by the month of June, which will enable the local residents to have reliable electricity and stop using the cost-generating fuel generators.These have been said by the Minister of Energy, Dr. Medadi Kaleman while addressing the people of Mpanda and Tanganyika districts while discovering and ignoring Rea's third phase in Mchakamchaka villages and Ifukutwa in Tanganyika District and Kapalala village in Mpanda District.

He said that in order for the region to be sure of the electricity supply, the Government has launched a massive power supply project in the Katavi grid from Tabora Region to Katavi Region in the region that will make the region more reliable.
Also, the activities of the national grid power supply have started in Tabora, and in June 2020, residents of Katavi Province will have started using the national grid and the electricity will be cost-effective for the use of fuel that has been causing the Government to spend a lot of money.

In addition, he has emphasized that there is currently enough electricity in the country and has banned the publicity that there is no electricity allocation, but that there is an electrical fixture that is the only place to have electricity.

For his part, Katavi Regional Commissioner, Amos Makalla said that Katavi Region was using electricity for 2.5 meters but after Tanesco increase the genereta Region has 3.7 megawatts.
The Mpanda District Commissioner, Salehe Mhando thanked the five-phase Government for providing electricity to the villages and districts of the district that has been independent of the country that had never been electrified.
